Aniket Dwarkadas Lohiya
He is the 2nd and acting Secretary (Head of the Institution) of MANAVLOK, Ambajogai. Since 25 years Aniket Dwarkadas Lohiya is renowned as good farmer for innovative agriculture practices. During his farming life he experienced the hardship of Indian farmers due to lack of awareness about agricultural technology. He focused on the up-liftment of socio-economic of the rural-poor by supporting the poor farmers in agricultural technologies. He implemented the past succeed experiments of water conservation methodology for dry land agriculture farms. He bought all basic agricultural technology machines namely Tractors, Ploughing Equipment, Rotavator, Zero Tillage Seed Drill, Sprayers, and Harvesters (Class) for demonstration of Farm Mechanization, at nearby Villages of Ambejogai, Kaij Block of Beed district, to aware the farmers about minimizing the agriculture expenditure and yielding more crops by end to end operation of agriculture technology. He framed a holistic approach on rural development and implementing several programs like Health (NRHM), empowerment through Self Help Groups (women group, farmers group, and senior citizen groups), Human Rights Aids (Domestic Violence and Children Protection Issues), Welfare Services (Relief Programs), Advocacy (Janshayog), need based awareness etc. In past he has visited “Israel” to observe the uses of agriculture technology and Drip Irrigation of farm water management. In 2015 he attended “Stockholm World Water Week-2015” Sessions with water aid participation in SWIDEN. He attended the 8th World Water Forum held at Brazil from March 18 to March 23, 2018. Now MANAVLOK is the member of World Water Council.
