MANAVLOK is a Voluntary organization for socio-economic upliftment of the rural-poor, established in 1982 under Society Registration Act 1860. A several experiments in rural development was launched for the Last 33 years, MANAVLOK would develop its activities over an increasing scale, never straying from the tenet that programs be based on the specific needs of the people. The Ongoing activities of the organization are Community based Monitoring programme of NRHM, Water shed development programme, Krushak Panchayat, HelpAge India Programme, Know your customer Programme, Manaswini Mahila Parkalp (Women empowerment, providing Shelter Home, Free Legal aid center, training center), Domestic Violence and Gender Sensitization, Jansahayog, Home Science College, Social Work College, SHG’s, Need based Training Centre, sanitation, relief services for the victims of Natural Disaster, advocacy, monitoring and Evaluation of Govt. program’s.
MANAVLOK is administered by General Body, an Executive Committee as well as by a full-time secretary. The General Body meets annually and elects an Executive Committee for every five year. This committee In turn meets quarterly and makes policy decisions in collaboration with the secretary. The secretary co-ordinates all programs, with the involvement of staff, and the community. The Honorary secretary shall manage the village level activities with the co-operation of MANAVLOK. The organization has Seven sub- centers’ offices.
