Free Cataract Diagnosis Camp and Surgery Camp

Due to Covid-19, the nonemergency medical cases were severely disrupted. The avoidance of nonurgent and routine medical care cases has caused a sharp increase in the number of cataract patients. No major and minor surgeries were performed in the region for the past two years. Understanding the severity of the situation, Manavlok organized a Free Cataract Diagnosis and Treatment Camp for Senior Citizens. The camp was guided by senior ophthalmologist Padmashree Tatyarao Lahane, in which 462 cataract operations were carried out. The senior citizens were provided with the spectacles. Post-surgery a regular eye examination was also carried out for all the patients.
