MANAVLOK believes that advocacy is the process of community development through public protest against the misuse of public funds and the untimely delivery of schemes by the concerned departments. MANAVLOK has a vibrant advocacy team called “Jansahayog” to create awareness among people. Through MANAVLOK initiatives in advocacy, many of the unutilized government schemes have been utilized in the region. It is a branch of MANAVLOK for the Social Action Project. It empowers BPL people and other vulnerable groups (aged, destitute, deserted women, and handicapped). There are various schemes launched by the government for vulnerable and marginalized groups to improve their conditions economically, socially, politically, and mentally. But a major chunk of this group is not aware of such welfare schemes. Even if they were aware, they could not access it due to the lack of certificates. Their conditions are miserable, and they are often subjected to exploitation from every end. Jansahayog helps vulnerable & marginalized communities by creating mass awareness of welfare schemes. They complete the entire documentation and intervene with government departments to deliver certificates or schemes on time. This activity was started in 2005 in response to the vulnerable groups in our society. Jansahayog has helped thousands of beneficiaries access different government schemes. Circumstances compelled our Jansahayog team to pressurize the concerned culprits by organizing various public demonstrations, Jansunvaai, Satyagraha, and Gherao, before the office of the Tehsildar.
